Morisset Beginner’s Djembe drumming.
Drumming is an amazing way to get your brain active, it helps to integrate mind and body, building new and unique networks in the brain, enhancing coordination and memory, increasing focus and attention, and this can be achieved at any age!
It’s also a great way to connect with others in a fun and exciting group activity, building community and friendships.
This fun, engaging and interactive workshop, is focused at beginners to djembe drumming, and existing drummers looking to do some light drumming on Saturday morning.
We will start with some fun coordination exercises, then move onto drumming basics, guiding you through how to hold and play a djembe. Then we will work through a traditional West African, which hopefully we will all be playing, and grooving together by the end of the workshop.
No experience is necessary and if you’re someone that says “I don’t have any sense of rhythm” then you’re wrong, it’s been scientifically proven, there is rhythm and vibration all around us, it’s a fundamental of life. So if you’re alive, then you have rhythm, so come and join us and unleash the monster.
