Djembe Alchemy Terms and Conditions

Payment

All class fees must be paid in full before the first class, workshop or event commences.  Online via our website is the preferred method for payment.  Should other forms such as Direct Transfer be accepted, then enrolment will not be confirmed until payment is received into our account.


Coupons

Gift cards and vouchers must be surrendered at the time or ordering.

Cancellation by Djembe Alchemy

  • Classes, workshops and events may not run if the required minimum number of enrolments is not reached. If this occurs, any fees paid will be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the portion cancelled.
  • Cancellation may occur for other reasons such as but not limited to illness, weather, significant events, government requirements and anything that may pose risk to participants and/or ourselves.  Djembe Alchemy will attempt to keep classes running either at a new venue or online.  If not practical to do so, a refund will be provided on pro-rata basis for the portion cancelled.
    Cancellation by individual students. 

Cancellation by customer

  • Cancellations made 3 days or more prior to a booked workshop or term of classes commencing, will receive a full refund minus a 10% administration fee.
  • No refund will be provided for cancellations made within 3 days of an event commencing.  Djembe Alchemy will consider special circumstances such as injury and illness and may elect to refund all or part of the fees paid or defer enrolment to another term or workshop.  Djembe Alchemy will endeavor to act reasonably and in good faith.
  • Cancellation by other customers or organisations.  Cancellation made for other booked events such as private workshops, team building events and drum circles will follow the following rules:
    • Cancellation within 30 days of commencement – Full refund minus 10% administration fee.
    • Cancellation within 14 days of commencement – 50% refund.
    • Cancellation within 3 days of commencement – No refund.
  • Cancellation by other customers or organisations may also incur charges in addition to those listed at point 5 for costs incurred such as non-refundable hall hire expenses.
  • Should enrolled participants not attend as scheduled with no prior agreement by Djembe Alchemy, then no refund will be provided.
  • Enrolments in Terms, Mini-Series’ or other groups of classes, are for the full period or set of classes specified.  No refund, transfer or credit is provided for classes missed by the participant except under exceptional circumstances and solely at the discretion of Djembe Alchemy.

Content and materials

  • All content and materials provided remains the property of Djembe Alchemy.  All participants agree to not copy, reproduce, store or share Djembe Alchemy content including but not limited to Learning Hub content, handouts, published videos and recordings.
  • Content and materials are provided in good faith.  Djembe Alchemy makes all reasonable attempts to ensure that content is accurate and accurately represents the subject matter but is not liable or responsible for any omissions or errors.
  • Djembe Alchemy does not warrant the availability of content and materials.

Health and Safety

  • Students agree to act in a safe and sensible manner during classes, workshops and events and to not deliberately or unduly place any other student or Djembe Alchemy staff at risk.
  • Djembe Alchemy may cease or cancel any event should health and safety of staff or participants be deemed at risk.
  • Participants are responsible for their own health and safety and ensuring that they are ready and fit to undertake the activities of the event.  Should a student perceive any activity to be beyond their reasonable limits then they are to apply personal judgement in regards to their own health and safety.  Should participants start experiencing pain or discomfort more than could be reasonably expected, then they agree to cease the activity immediately.  Participants explicitly indemnify Djembe Alchemy from any injury, physical, mental or otherwise that may arise out of participation in the provided services.
