A Spring Djembe Drumming Mini-Series in Toronto

A second Mini Series for Toronto!

Engage your inner rhythm this Spring with this beginner focused 3 week series of West African Djembe Drumming.

When:  Monday evenings, 6:15pm to 7:45pm, 11 November 2024 to 25 November 2024.

Location:  Toronto Public School,  31 Renwick St, Toronto NSW 2283

Group drumming has been shown to:

• Improve cognitive function and build new neural networks
• Stimulate the memory centers in the brain
• Improve coordination and mind body connection
• Get the heart pumping and blood flowing

At the same time you will:

• Meet new people and build social cconnection
• Learn about West African rhythm and culture
• Improve your sense of rhythm
• Step out of you comfort zone
• Take a holiday from the everyday pressures of life.

This class is accessible to drummers of all levels including beginners.  Never drummed before?  Although attending a beginner workshop prior is desirable it’s not essential.  We will walk you through the basics and we have great resources to help you come up to speed quickly.
